Virginia residents seeking gun safety training required by law and wish to obtain a Virginia Concealed Carry Permit, this class is for you. This class is designed to meet and exceed Virginia requirements to get you ready to carry daily. This is a choice to defend yourself and your loved ones and we tailor our classes for your specific needs. The main goal of CCW is to be confident, comfortable and proficient to help build your confidence so you make the decision to strap up. Many of our students have had exposure to firearms in the past but we make things simple and explain things to our students with minute detail and take our time. Most people have fears about firearms and we are here to disprove those myths and answer every question you have. Our class sizes are intimate and will help instill not only knowledge but confidence in you as you go forward on your journey to defend yourself with a handgun. § 18.2-308.09. Disqualifications for a concealed handgun permit.
This Virginia CCW Permit 8 hour class meets and exceeds the training requirements for students to submit an application for a Virginia Concealed Carry Permit. Your Virginia CCW Permit is good for 5 years and has reciprocity in 36 States. Students will need handgun, holster, belt, 2 empty magazines for class. Wear clothing acceptable for outdoor ranges. Students will get training certificates with NRA credentials that can also be used for other state CCW applications. Students will learn about handgun safety, handgun selection, ammunition, shooting fundamentals, malfunctions, drawing from holster, presentation, target acquisition, de-escalation as well as escalation for force and relevant Virginia Laws. One Hour of Marksmanship included. Classroom and Live Fire to meet and exceed Virginia CCW Permit Requirements.
We train you to shoot and hit your target and prepare you for everyday carry.
Class Details: 8 Hrs $500 Single Student, $400 Ea Husband/Wife or groups of 3 or more.
Classes available weekdays and weekends for private in home or small groups less than 7 by appointment on first come first serve basis. For class locations south of Richmond Virginia, mileage rates apply.

Students need to complete Student Waiver Form to RSVP for training. We can conduct a class anytime, anyplace but do require at least 4 students to do a class. Ask your friends or neighbors over 21.
Double A will provide class materials and certificate at the end of class for self study and review. Students should have or be prepared to purchase ammo 50-200 rounds for live fire.
Students are required to pay a one time royalty fee seen above that covers training class only. Students should wear comfortable clothing, closed toed footwear, materials to take notes, something to drink or snack on. Students will receive a personal introduction to a FFL Federal Firearms Licensed dealer, instructions on the application process as well as the best way to purchase firearms in Maryland, D.C. and Virginia.
